10th Annual Paul Goodwin Memorial Youth Scholarship Tournament

1. All Bowlers must be USBC Sanctioned and abide by USBC rule 400.

2. Each Team will consist of one adult bowler and one youth Bowler.

3. The tournament will be handicap: Based on 90 % of the difference of 230 per bowler.

4. There will be 4 divisions for the youth Scholarship Portion which will be based on the youth bowlers entering average. This division is where the youth will be bowling for scholarship prizes which will be deposited into their smart account

5. There will be two divisions for the youth / adult Portion of the tournament which will be under 339, and over 340. (This is the combination of both bowlers averages together to determine division that they will be in)

For the youth / adult they will be bowling for plaques.

6. Entry fee per team will be $60.00 (Bowling fee $22.50, Scholarship prize fund $ 34.50, Awards $3.00)

7. All scholarship prize money will be returned 100 % and deposited into SMART fund for the winning youth bowlers.

8.Scholarship prize ratio will be at least 1:4.

9. Prize ratio will be at least 1:6 for youth / adult plaques.

10. Each Bowler will bowl 3 games.

11. All bowlers must wear a collared shirt, butterfly collar or mock collar jersey.

12. All Bowlers must wear Pants, Jeans, Slacks or Khaki Shorts of proper length. PLEASE, NO HOLEY CLOTHING OF ANY KIND. LET’S KEEP IT PROFESSIONAL!

13. All Bowlers will use their highest 2023 - 2024 standard book average with a minimum of 21 games, if no standard average and a sport average exists from 2023 – 2024 with a minimum of 21 games, it will be used and converted over to a standard average.

If neither are present, then a current average with a minimum of 21 games as of April 6th can be used.

If neither average is available, then bowler may be able to use highest average from 2022 – 2023 with a minimum of 21 games

If neither average is present, then bowler would bowl scratch with a 230 average

14. Bowlers must check in together and should check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the squad

15. For the Scholarship division the youth Bowlers will win the highest place they come in!

16. Make Checks payable to The Lanes at Ft Meade (PGM).

17. U.S.B.C. Rules will govern in the absence of tournament rules.

18. USBC TEN Pin Rule 319 a-2 will apply.

19. Tournament Management has the right to refuse any entry.
